Is This Really Free

Yes. 100% free. No strings, no hidden costs. This is something I do in my spare time to give back to the music community that’s soundtracked my life.

Why is it free?

Because I know how hard it is starting out—and how every penny counts. Money spent on design or photos could be another hour in the studio or petrol to your next gig. If I can take one thing off your plate (or budget), I will.

Who is this for?

Emerging musicians, bands, small indie labels, DIY collectives—basically, anyone doing music on a shoestring but with a big vision. If you’re unsure if you qualify, just reach out.

What kind of design work do you offer?

  • Logos & branding
  • Album & single artwork
  • Posters & flyers
  • Merch design (t-shirts, stickers, etc.)
  • Social media assets
  • Press kits, lyric sheets, tracklists, and packaging
 If it’s visual, I probably do it.

What about photography?

I offer:
 

  • Headshots
  • Band & promo portraits
  • Live gig photography
  • Behind-the-scenes/documentary-style shoots
     

Photography is available in Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk & London (depending on availability).


I don’t have access to a studio, so all photos will be taken on location. It’s your responsibility to choose a spot where photography is permitted and arrange any necessary permissions.


A model release form will be required for anyone photographed—this allows me to use the images in my portfolio unless you request otherwise.

Where are you based?

I’m based in the East of England. Design services are available to anyone, anywhere. Photography is limited to Suffolk, Essex, Norfolk, and London.

Can I choose the style/look?

Absolutely. We’ll work together to create visuals that reflect your sound, aesthetic, and vibe. Your voice matters—it’s a collaboration.

How many changes can I request?

You get up to 3 rounds of design revisions. After that, we either call it done or chat about what else you need.

Do I need to credit you?

Yes please! Include a credit like “Design by Ultimate Chaos” or “Photography by Ultimate Chaos” wherever the work is used. It helps me support more artists like you.

Will you use my work in your portfolio?

Yes—unless you ask me not to. If something is unreleased or needs to stay private, just let me know. I respect that.

What’s the catch?

There isn’t one. I’m a designer with 20+ years of experience, a love of music, and a creative itch my 9–5 doesn’t scratch. Helping artists like you is the reward.

Can I come back for more projects later?

Absolutely! I prioritise first-time and new requests, but if we’ve worked well together and I’ve got the time, I’m always open to future collabs.

How long will it take?

That depends on the project and my schedule. Most design work is delivered in 2–4 weeks. Photography depends on location and timing. I’ll always be upfront about what’s realistic.

What files do I get at the end?

For design:

  • High-res, print-ready files (PDF, PNG, or JPEG)
  • Web-friendly versions
  • Vector files (AI, EPS, or SVG) where appropriate—especially for logos and anything that needs to scale

For photography:

  • A curated set of edited, high-res JPEGs
  • Delivered via a private folder or download link

How do I get started?

Just fill out the contact form with a little about you, your music, and what you’re after. The more info, the better!

What don’t you offer?

I don’t currently offer:

  • Website design
  • Social media management
  • Paid ads or campaign strategy
  • Printing services
 But I might be able to recommend someone if you need it (I can’t promise they’ll be free!)
